Formerly Head of Department and Professor at the Department of Surveying, Liverpool Polytechnic, now Liverpool JMU, Charles specialised in valuations, leasehold reform, landlord and tenant and Planning and Development. Charles holds the personal title of Emeritus Professor of Surveying of the LJMU.
With wide experience in valuation, property management, investment and development both in Merseyside and elsewhere in the UK, he works for Pension Fund clients, Local Authorities, private and corporate Clients and for the Government under various commissions.
Co-author of a number of standard texts, Charles has published papers, regularly lectures at professional seminars, and at a number of universities and has been an external examiner.
