Delwyn heads the Building Consultancy Department of the firm. He has undertaken large scale building surveys and advises upon the repair and maintenance of buildings of special architectural interest.
With an active interest in defects diagnosis, including material / design performance and planned maintenance strategies, he is also involved in construction monitoring, particularly on design and build projects, including the audit of design solutions and the evaluation of systems of quality monitoring and control.
Delwyn is heavily involved in party wall related matters, specifically in providing advice on complex city centre infill developments.
He is the immediate past chair of the Building Surveying Division Faculty of the RICS in the North West and a former external examiner for the Building Surveying Degree course at Liverpool JM University.
Specific Experience
Current involvement in advising on temporary development rights and party wall matters for a range of projects, acting for both developers and adjoining owners. Sectors include retail, office and residential projects located in the North West, Yorkshire, the Midlands and London.
Delwyn is also currently working on several projects requiring preparation of development briefs, technical support and negotiation, including a design audit and construction monitoring service on behalf of builders/prospective occupiers.
