Neil has been working with the former Senior Partner, M.Y. Pitts FRICS (now consultant) for several years on Rights to Lights and is now the Partner with day to day responsibility for that specialised area of work.
Specific Experience
Neil is primarily involved in advising on Rights of Light issues in respect of a wide range of projects, including major city centre shopping centres, and commercial and residential developments. He has also acted as an expert in rights to light disputes and is co-author of a chapter on Rights to Light in "Valuation: Special Properties and Purposes" published by the Estates Gazette in 2003.
In other sectors Neil has also advised on major strategic accommodation reviews, led studies on the redevelopment and refurbishment options for major office buildings and led a commission to provide a new headquarters for a major government office. He has also led a major review for the Government's Regional Office of business space development proposals in the North West seeking EEC regional aid.
